Well I did it. I am officially done with my first week back to work. I'm happy to say that today is Thursday but it is my new Friday. From here on out I'll be working 4-days a week which I think is going to be wonderful. I had a really really really hard time going back to work with Eleanor and the build-up to this return to work with both girls was horrible. I guess I just replayed that whole scene in my head and knew it would be horrendous. And yes, it was very difficult- I miss my girls and the laid back days we had during maternity leave but it wasn't horrible horrible. I guess a lot of it was that I had done all of this before with Ellie so the shock to the system was a lot less.
I just can't thank my mom enough for taking care of the girls. It is so nice to know they are with her and Ellie was so happy to have her Grandma Sue this week. Ruby Kate did really well, she is such a happy baby and so far has taken pretty well to her mommy now being around. The bottle situation on the first day was apparently pretty tough but we ran out to Target and bought a couple of new ones. Turns out her favorite is the Nuk bottle that is shaped like her pacifier. It is like her dream come true...she has been sucking and sucking and sucking on those things and can never get anything out but now she does!
So tomorrow is Friday, the beginning of my weekend and I have big plans. I want to do something fun with Ellie but then I'm hoping to tackle the house and the laundry, before the real weekend with Jason.
