2 Months Old!

Our little Ruby Kate is two months old! She is changing so much right now. She really has started looking around and checking out the world. She especially likes the ceiling fan, our black and white quilt, and looking at peoples faces.

We love trying to get her to smile which isn't too difficult these days. She has a super cute smile and she usually coos and "talks" to you as if she is really excited.

Ruby is starting to really enjoy sitting in her bouncy seat and she bats at the toys. We have a chain of links connected to the bar and she often grabs those and holds on to them. Ellie thinks it is pretty neat that she is starting to like toys and often brings her toys and sets them in her lap. What a good big sister!

We have no complaints in the eating or sleeping departments. Ruby is really a pro at both. She usually eats before bed around 7, we put her down and then she wakes up once or at most twice during the night. She eats and falls right back asleep. She still enjoys being swaddled and has really figured out that pacifier!

At her doctor's appointment this morning Ruby was 11 pounds, 10.5 ounces! That is still around 75th percentile. She was 60th for height, and her head circumference was 90th percentile just like her big sister and dad! She checked out great otherwise, we are still working with one clogged tear duct but hoping that will clear itself up by the time she is one year old. I hope it happens much sooner than that as it is pretty annoying. Her right eye gets gunky any time she cries because the duct is clogged.

In other news...Ruby did lose almost all of her hair, which left her with a very cute mohawk. she is starting to grow a little bit back.
