Mexico!

We had a great time in Mexico with the Hansen family. My grandmother took the entire family to a beautiful Mexican resort in Nuevo Vallarta....that is 27 of us! It was an amazing 5 days by the ocean and pool. It has been many years since we were all together so we had a great time seeing every one. It was also Ellie's first time meeting many of my aunts, uncles and cousins so that was super fun.

Our room was really nice. We had a nice balcony that looked right out over the pool and ocean. Ellie had an adorable little crib that was made up just like the big beds. We also had a jacuzzi which was quite the thrill of Eleanor! Unfortunately she was a little too relaxed in the jacuzzi! Lets just say we rapidly learned to keep swim diapers on her while she was lounging.


We pretty much stayed at the resort although we did take a tour on the first day that brought us into the city, Puerto Vallarta. We also drove through the beautiful rainforesty areas and got to tour a tequila factory.

We all enjoyed having all of the meals provided for us. Ellie and Vera especially loved the Fruit Loops! That is a special vacation-only food! They also appreciated the room service that brought them pretty much anything they desired at anytime!



The resort had a baby pool which Ellie has never experienced before. She thought it was very cool to be able to walk in a swimming pool. At first she looked very confused and was pretty hesitant but she soon was trying to run through the water! We bought a little float for the pool which the girls loved because they could push each other around. This was Ellie's second trip to the beach and she loved it this time. We couldn't keep her out of the water! Another big hit: virgin strawberry daiquiris, poolside!


This is a life we enjoyed living!!! It is hard to come back but always nice to be home in your own bed.
